On November 27th, Yang Hong, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee and District Chief, presided over the 75th executive meeting of the District Government, deeply studying and implementing the important article "Supporting Chinese style Modernization with High quality Population Development" published by General Secretary Xi Jinping in the "Qiushi" magazine, conveying and implementing the spirit of the 2024 Chongqing Cultural Tourism Development Conference, and arranging and deploying relevant work.

The meeting pointed out that the population issue is a global, long-term, and strategic issue, and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important article provides fundamental guidance for doing a good job in population work in the new era and new journey. We must deeply study and understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important article, firmly grasp the basic ideas and major principles of population work in the new era, base ourselves on the actual situation of population and labor service regions, solidly do a good job in key work such as population development and quality improvement, and provide strong support for promoting the practice of Chinese style modernization in Kaizhou with high-quality population development. We need to establish a systematic thinking approach, seize major opportunities such as the construction of the national strategic hinterland, fully leverage the advantages of the government, market, society, and other parties, accelerate the improvement of the population development support and service system, and shape modern human resources with excellent quality, abundant quantity, optimized structure, and reasonable distribution. We need to strengthen the orientation towards people's livelihood, focus on the key task of high-quality population development, continuously improve the supply of public services for the elderly and primary school, and continuously improve policies, measures, and institutional guarantees for education, healthcare, childbirth, employment, and elderly care.

The meeting emphasized that the cultural tourism industry is an effective breakthrough in solving social employment, developing ecological economy, and achieving the goal of enriching the people and strengthening the region, and is an important focus for promoting high-quality development.   To enhance the level of tourism development, we need to coordinate cultural heritage, ecological protection, and tourism development. We need to write good articles on "mountains, waters, lakes, and cities", plan and package high-quality projects, create more new cultural and tourism landmarks, and accelerate the construction of the International Tourism Resort at the junction of the Three Gorges and Qinba. We need to optimize the supply of tourism services, focus on building a tourism distribution center in the northeast of Chongqing and the northeast of Sichuan, strengthen the construction of supporting infrastructure, adhere to systematic planning in terms of business layout and atmosphere creation, and continuously meet the high-quality, diversified, and personalized tourism service needs of consumers. To unleash the potential of cultural and tourism consumption, enrich new forms of tourism such as sports tourism and study tours, cultivate more new scenarios for the integration of cultural, tourism, sports, and business consumption, and effectively improve the "retention" of the tourism market and the "heat" of the consumer market. The meeting also discussed and deployed work related to safety and stability. Heads of relevant district level departments and units, as well as some district People's Congress deputies and district Political Consultative Conference members, attended the meeting as observers.
